Hello, and welcome to my ToursByLocals page! With years of experience in the tourism industry, I've had the privilege of guiding diverse groups from Serbia to breathtaking destinations worldwide, which has transformed me into a true citizen of the world. I believe that being a professional traveler is one of the most exhilarating and enriching professions out there. Over the years, I've witnessed significant growth in tourism in my home country, Serbia—a land brimming with hidden gems that many international travelers have yet to discover. As a native of Belgrade, I know this vibrant city intimately, and I can trace my family roots here for generations. Belgrade, with its dynamic atmosphere and warm-hearted people, never ceases to amaze me. Strategically situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, this "Crossroads of the Worlds" boasts a rich history dating back to Neolithic times. My passion for showcasing Serbia is fueled by the delight and surprise on visitors’ faces when they exclaim, "We had no idea it was so... amazing!" Here's my commitment to you: To truly immerse yourself in Serbia's wonders, the guidance of an experienced tour guide is essential. As your guide, I will introduce you to the emotions, impressions, and vibrant hues of Belgrade and beyond. I am not only a storyteller who brings the enchanting history of this unique city and country to life, but also a friend who reveals hidden secrets and a professional who listens and adapts to your needs. My goal is to elevate your experience of Belgrade and Serbia, ensuring it is both memorable and fulfilling. Whether it's meeting you at the airport or your hotel, guiding you on a city sightseeing tour, or arranging countrywide excursions, I am eager to share the wonders of Serbia with you! I look forward to exploring Serbia together! Researching the time and events from the ancient past to a modern time, this cultural walking tour focuses on the highlights of the city's historic core: Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, The Patriarchate, unique 'Question Mark' tavern, ancient city's artery -lively Knez Mihajlova Street, elegant Republic Square with National Theater and National Museum, and much more! One of the best sentences I've found about Belgrade - the "White City" is that it is an "unusual mosaic made by centuries of overlapping civilizations". During a pleasant walk in the heart of the city, we will travel back and forth through time, discovering together this "museum in the open", a beautiful mosaic, shaped by the interaction of various, often antagonistic civilizations. As a descendant of families living in Belgrade since the 19th century, I developed a deep understanding of this important geopolitical crossroads. My mission, and at the same time my passion, is to bring its complexity and uniqueness closer to the audience.
