Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo Private Tour

Herbert was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about the area and Uruguay in general. He taught us a lot about the history of the country, and was very accommodating to whatever we wanted to do on our tour, even took us on multiple detours depending on our interests and things we had just learned about and wanted to see. He was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the day. His van is also EXTREMELY comfortable and was a very luxurious way to get from Colonia to Montevideo, and he dropped us off right at our Airbnb. I would highly recommend this tour with Herbert, it was an awesome day!

Amazing tour, had the best of time. Hebert has a lot of knowledge on the history of Uruguay and is very punctual and efficient, would recommend him highly.

Hebert was knowledgeable and friendly. He was on time meeting us at the dock, and gracious and accomodating. We learned a lot about Uruguay. However, our group of 4 felt that there was a lot of driving to get to Colonia del Sacramento (over 2 hours each way). At the end of our tour, Hebert showed us around Montevideo - the old town and parts of the new per our request to see both. Even though we liked Colonia, we would have been just as happy to spend the day touring Montevideo and visit its museums.

Very knowledgable and informative! Got us from the ferry station and drove us around. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Colonia del Sacramento for a day! :) 10/10

Hebert was a very nice guide. The highlight was the BBQ at his lovely home with his family. Would recommend.

Hebert is congenial and great conversation. A lifelong Uruguayan with family, he has deep knowledge of the history and sites we visited in Montevideo and Colonia. Many people recognized him, so he is well-known as a guide. Good driver. We were surprised he didn't guide us around the ruins and in Colonia's main church, letting us guide ourselves while he waited and checked his messages. We like that he gave us time to walk around on our own. We recommend him.
