Half Day Tour of Conwy Castle and Town

I live in Conwy and will be delighted to ensure you get a real sense of the town as locals do. That's why this tour will mix history, stories and food tasting. We meet at the heart of the town and walk on a short section of the town walls to then enjoy the spectacle of this magnificent UNESCO world heritage castle. I'll have the tickets and we'll head inside for a tour of the immense fortifications, with the added insight of a local and qualified official guides knowledge. After the visit to the castle, we'll head straight into the medieval walled town and genuinely taste Conwy where I'll recommend visits to local food and drinks, craft businesses meeting the owners and sampling their wares. You'll continue to get tales of local characters and the history of the town on our wanderings and all the instagramable places like the Smallest House in Great Britain and the pretty quayside.

- We'll walk on a short section of the town walls (those who are worried about heights will be given alternatives) and then we'll enjoy the spectacle of this magnificent UNESCO world heritage site building where you'll learn the historical background. We'll wander around the defensive structures and learn what life was like living in such a castle. If you want, we'll climb up the spiral stairs of a tower and walk along the wall walks. - After about an hour in the castle we'll walk through the old walled town past the interesting churchyard and down to the quayside to see the oldest building in Conwy and the Smallest House in Great Britain. - We'll wander the High Street popping into some of the fantastic independent food stores to sample their wares.
