Hello, I'm Chris and I'm extremely lucky to have been born and bred in beautiful North Wales! For the last 6 years, I've been privileged to guide 100s of travellers around the highlights of my amazing country. During this time, I'm humbled to have received over 100 5-star reviews across social media and other channels and even more humbled to have recently been invited to join ToursByLocals. So, what makes my tours different to the tours offered by the other excellent guides in the area?? Firstly, I offer chauffeur-driven private guided tours of North Wales. In the UK, drivers and vehicles have to be licensed for 'hire and reward' by their local county authority to be able to offer 'driven' tours. I'm proud to say I am one of the very few driver guides in North Wales who is fully licensed and insured to offer luxury chauffeur-driven guided tours by my local authority. I am also one of the few private driver guides in North Wales to be able to offer our chauffeur-driven tours in a late-model Mercedes GLE SUV or a spacious 2024 Mercedes V Class MPV. I can offer tours for up to 7 passengers in these luxurious vehicles. As well as using late-model Mercedes vehicles, I am one of only 100 chauffeurs in the UK to have passed the rigorous assessment process to join the UK's Guild of Professional Chauffeurs. When I put my guide hat on, I'm a gold-standard Llysgennad Eryri/Snowdonia Ambassador and Llysgennad Twrystiaeth Sir Ddynbych/Denbighshire Tourism Ambassador. During your driving tour, I will tell you all about the history, culture and language of Wales as well as telling you about specific places you'll visit or pass on route. At main attractions which have ample visitor information inside, I will tell you all about the history of the location en route and will then leave you to explore the site at your leisure. At sites that have less public information, I will accompany you to the site and give you information about the location and its history. So, I can provide you with a fully licensed and insured luxury vehicle driven by a qualified professional driver who also has local guiding and tourism certification! So, why did I start tour guiding in North Wales?? Since I was young, I have been obsessed with the beautiful, unique and challenging countryside of North Wales. In my teens, I was climbing the mountains of Eryri/Snowdonia with my school's teachers. In my late 20s, I owned and ran one of the earliest mountain bike hire centres and shops in North Wales. In the late 1990s, I was lucky enough to embark on a career in global sales for one of Europe's leading canoe and kayak manufacturers. In this job, I was lucky to travel all over the world, visiting dealers and attending shows. I soon realised that my own country, Wales, had countryside and scenery as spectacular in its own way as any other country in the world along with a history, culture and language as fascinating as any other in the world. When my global dealers visited our UK factory, I showed them around North Wales in their spare time and each remarked that they hadn't realised how beautiful Wales was and how fascinating they found its history and culture. That sparked an idea in my head and led me to set up my tour-guiding business! Whilst I have several itinerary tours on my profile, I can customise our single-day tours if you don't see what you want in them. I can organise bespoke multi-day tours by request. At least 50% of the tours we deliver are multi-day tours with some customers staying with us for up to 8 days. We can offer transfers or transfer tours to other areas of the UK, including main airports and cities. Just get in touch for a customised quote. To start, I am offering 3 luxury chauffeur-driven private tours. I offer complimentary pickup and drop off within North Wales for our Spectacular Snowdonia and Castles of Edward 1st tours, along with a Holyhead Port shore excursion for those arriving by cruise ship. I look forward to offering you a warm Croeso i Gymru/Welcome to Wales in 2025 Llysgennad Eryri/Snowdonia Ambassador Llysgennad Gwynedd/Gwynedd Ambassador Llysgennad Twristiaeth Sir Ddinbych/Denbighshire Tourism Ambassador Fully Certified member of the Guild of Professional Chauffeurs Denbighshire County Council Private Hire Operator, Driver and Vehicle Licences Advanced DBS certificate Entry into attractions where charged, food and drink are not included I do not accompany you to attractions where entry fees are charged and extensive visitor information is provided.

Taking in majestic mountains, sweeping coastlines, ancient castles, industrial heritage and a little island life - my tour gives a real snapshot of North Wales in a single day. It's the tour to take if you have limited time available. As I drive, I'll tell you the story of the history, culture and language of Wales from a local's viewpoint and you'll learn how Wales has managed to keep its Celtic identity despite being the neighbour of one of the most powerful countries in the world. This driving tour stops at scenic, historic and cultural points of interest. It starts at 09. 30 and runs for approx 8 hours. My late model, fully licenced Mercedes sedans and MPVs feature climate control and leather seating and can take up to 7 passengers. I offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or cruise berth within North Wales.
