Devon's South Hams- A Truly Varied Coast & Rural Rolling Farmland Full Day Tour Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that stretches from Torbay to Plymouth, the infamous Naval sea port where many great expeditions sailed from. Destinations on this tour can include the historic Dartmouth as featured in tours as well as the yachting classic, Salcombe, a boating destination and sophisticated riverside town. The rugged Start Point and the nearby villages of Beesands and Hallsands provide local historic fishing heritage. Devon played an historic and essential part in the preparation of the D-Day event with connective history all along the Southern coast from Torbay to Torcross. Hope Cove can maybe also feature with its two coves and clifftop views that always inspire. Other fantastic locations on this coastline include Burgh Island, its 14th Century smugglers Inn, the classic Art Deco hotel and its totally unique high tide transport. All options to suit interest and logistics.
9am - Collection from your hotel or accommodation in the area or at an agreed meeting point. 10am - Arrive at one of the named locations on the itinerary description to suit access logistics and journey flow. 11am - Explore the cliff top views, fishing villages, coastal footpath and picturesque South Hams area landscapes. 12.30 - 1pm - Time made for a traditional country Inn lunch, seafood and local produce championed by all in the area. 1.30 - 2pm - Continue to explore the South Hams area, maybe Dartmouth, Salcombe, Burgh Island or Start Point, interest and ability/access levels all considered to reactively tune to your needs. 3.30 - 4pm Possible stop for a traditional cream tea in a seaside or country tea room, continue with a coastal walk. Photos, view appreciation and scenic immersion. 5 - 5.30 - Return to accommodation, hotel or pre agreed drop point to end hte day.
