Magical English countryside drive to explore mystical Stonehenge
Overview of your Dorset tour
Journey up through the beautiful Dorset countryside and into Wiltshire to visit the magical, mystical and awe-inspiring World Heritage Site of Stonehenge high up on Salisbury Plain. Walk around the magical stones accompanied by your guide and then visit the Interpretation centre and museum. Drive back to Portland, passing through the Georgian Seaside town of Weymouth and if there's time make a stop at one of the most spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast in the country. This excursion is very similar to the Stonehenge and Salisbury tour, however if coming by Cruise Ship occasionally due to the time of departure there is not sufficient time to also visit Salisbury
Your Dorset tour itinerary
1030 Pick up from Port, 90-110 minute drive through Dorset and Wiltshire to reach Stonehenge 1200-1215 Arrive Stonehenge and take the shuttle bus to arrive at the Stones then visit the museum/interpretation centre, shop etc (2hrs) 1430 Depart Stonehenge and if time allows a stop at one of the most spectacular viewpoint of English Coastline 1630 Arrive Portland and Spectacular viewpoint photostop
