Welcome to Devon and the West Country. I am Mark and with over 15yrs of experience in hospitality at five star level with a country sports instruction background as well as a decade in tour delivery I can deliver Devon to you at its finest. One of the last true wilderness areas left in England. A sense of real grounding and connection to the land that time seems to have forgotten. A full day of extensive touring on Dartmoor with a private driver guide. Locations such as remote Princetown, quaint North Bovey village, picturesque Widecombe-In-The-Moor, the Stannary town Ashburton, and classic postcard scenes at Postbridge. Options to visit ancient Stone/Bronze Age sites including Merrivale, Grimspound, Hound Tor Medieval village. Potential for Tor walks/climbs including Haytor, Ten Commandment Stones, Hound Tor, Combestone Tor, Bonehill Rocks, Hameldown or even High Willhays (the roof of Devon at 621m above sea level). Lunch booked at traditional Dartmoor Inn, (not included in tour cost). More Dartmoor adventures throughout the afternoon with an option for a Devon Cream Tea (not included in tour cost) at a divine Dartmoor cottage tea rooms in the afternoon. 9 - 9. 30 am - Collection from your accommodation, hotel, local station or airport. 10am approx - Enter Dartmoor National Park from area most logistically suited to collection point. Enjoy high moorland vistas, immerse yourselves in the long history of Dartmoor and embark on short, or long hikes to take in the surroundings - fully customisable and bespoke to activity, ability and preferences. 12. 30 - Stop at a traditional Dartmoor Country Inn for a hearty lunch booking (if required and not included in tour cost) Choices include locations at Widecombe, Haytor, North Bovey, Meavey and Chagford. 1. 30 - 2pm -- Head out to enjoy more local folklore tales, visit ancient sites dating back to the middle Bronze Age and Medieval Briton as well as take in picturesque villages throughout the day. 4 - 5pm Option to stop off for a traditional Devonshire Cream Tea (availability dependent and not included in tour cost) 5 - 5. 30pm Head back to accommodation, hotel, station, local airport or agreed drop off point
