Having lived in the UAE for over 30 years and have been visiting Al Ain since 1993 I will share my local knowledge of the transformation of Al Ain and UAE to you Al Ain translated to mean 'The Spring' was once a vital oasis on the caravan route from the UAE to Oman. Al Ain is located approximately 140km South of Dubai. While driving from Dubai to Al Ain you'll see the desert sand turning from yellow to Red. Al Ain's reputation as the 'Garden City' is due to the 10000 hectares of green land parks and gardens. Al Ain is the Emirate's heritage heartland. Al Ain's archaeological discoveries are on display at the Al Ain national museum and there is an old Oasis in Al Ain. There are two important forts Al Ain namely Al Ain museum and Al Jahili fort. Al Ain also has a Zoo/Wildlife park. Jebel Hafeet peak of Hajar mountains rising 1249 metres is the Emirates 2nd highest peak bordering Al Ain & Oman and there is a hot springs nearby. Visit Al Ain for a different feel of UAE.
My husband and I toured Al Ain with Barti on our first day of our visit to Abu Dhabi. It was a terrific day and the first of four days of touring the UAE. When I book a guide I sometimes cross my fingers and hope. This first day with Barti was so good - I relaxed and enjoyed the rest. Thank you, Barti, for making the UAE come alive for us.
As part of our trip to the UAE, we wanted to see a part of the area a little off the beaten path. Our day to Al Ain with Barti did not disappoint. Barti made the day so special which included a stop at a camel race track and camel market, the fort and the oasis which is a UNESCO heritage site. Barti is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and accommodating ensuring that the day with him is absolutely wonderful.
The tour to Al Ain with Mr Barti was really interesting, we had the time to visit the main attraction from Al Ain and got a lot of information on the life in the emirates.
My family and I had a wonderful day on our tour to Al Ain. Barti's enthusiasm and knowledge made this a very special experience. We came away with a good sense of the history of this part of the country. And he was flexible and kind in shepherding a group that ranged in age from four years to seventy-one! I highly recommend Barti R. as a tour guide.
My previous review under the Dubai tour was for Al Ain, anyway Barti provided us with a brief tour of the Dubai area and dropped us at our cruise ship. It was pretty hot so we opted to cut some parts short. Barti was flexible.
Barti is an outstanding guide; knowledgeable, interesting, personable, and highly professional. He selected experiences and sites en route to and around Al Anin that helped us better understand the UAE, its history, cultural traditons and emergence on the world scene. Truly impressive. We highly recommend Barti, confident that he would provide others with a valuable and enriching experience.
