Five stars. Rafiq turned a long day trip into a real introduction to Al Ain. I booked the full day with Rafiq, and it was the right call. He picked me up at my hotel in Dubai at 9, and by the time we reached Al Ain he had already set the context: why this oasis city matters so much to the UAE, and why it is the home ground of Sheikh Zayed and the Al Nahyan family. The day covered a lot without ever feeling rushed. Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Jahili Fort and the Al Ain Palace Museum gave the history, and Rafiq filled in the story connecting them rather than just reading plaques. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Al Ain was a quiet, beautiful stop. Walking the Al Ain Oasis, with its falaj irrigation channels still running under the date palms, was a highlight; it is hard to believe something that old still works. We finished with the market at Souk Al Bawadi and then the drive up Jebel Hafeet, which is worth the whole trip on its own. The road and the view back over the city and the desert are spectacular. Rafiq is knowledgeable, easygoing and a careful driver, and he adjusted the pace to what I wanted to linger on. Pickup and drop-off were seamless. If you have a day in the UAE and want to see something beyond Dubai's skyline, book Rafiq for Al Ain.
