Hello and welcome! Travelling has always been my passion and, having spent the better part of my life acting out as a translator, I embarked on what has always been my hobby - the eco-friendly and off-the-beaten-track tourism - few years ago. Faculty of foreign languages of Kiev State University I can take you around the most interesting sights of the city of Kiev – such as St. Sophia’s Cathedral and Monastery of the caves, but I won't be able to guide you inside the museums requiring an official guide license.

One-day (two days as an option) tour to enjoy the bucolic peace and tranquility of Ukrainian countryside - to our private guest house, located within 1 hour's drive from Kiev. We will drop by the unique Pereyaslav-Khmelnitski Open-air Folks Architecture and Life museum on our way over and have a cookout and cooking master-class on our wood-fired stove and grill, followed by tasting of our famous Kolganivka (home-made vodka).
Can I give Six Stars? Once in a while there is someone who goes the extra mile and Yuri certainly did. So interesting - with his ranch, the museum at Pereiaslav, and the installation at Побузьке! Not to mention some adventures on the way and some great time spent together.
Yuri took us to see the country side and took us to some friends of his for a BBQ that was excellent. Good traditional Ukrainian food. His english is very easy to understand and he is very knowledgeable and willing to make changes to the itinerary. He was on time to pick us up at the dock. His car was very comfortable. Thank you Yuri!
Yuri was very flexible on how to put together itineary and was helpful to arrange a longer horse ride than included and showed us an open air museum, introduced us to local home made foods a.s.o. We ended up driving quite a lot because of this - but was well worth it.
The Cossacks Outpost was a great experience, and I highly recommend it. First, Yuri is a great guy. He's also well educated, fluent in English, and he lived through the turbulent times from the from the end of the USSR through today. Yuri tailored our tour specifically according to our requests. The highlight his small ranch near Yahotyn, for a slice of Ukrainian village life. Our day included home cooking and horseback riding. Yuri also took us to many unique sights Southeast of Kiev. Unforgettable!
I have really enjoyed the Cossack Outpost tour. Yuri and his family have been remarkable hosts and I have been very pleased with the genuine traditional foods, warm hospitality, friendly company, comprehensive service and comfortable car trips to interesting places. This was the perfect introduction to Ukraine. I will come back any time I am in Ukraine. I was lucky to find them.
