We had a great day with Jo (aka Patthanant Ketkaew)! Her English is just outstanding. Moreover, she was very knowledgable about the sights and was able to impart all sorts of factoids and information to us. She was flexible to our desires as well. We highly recomment Jo for you tour in Phuket.

We had a great time on this tour. Although Jo got sick at the last minute, we loved our substitute guide, Aom. We had the best time seeing the monkeys in the cave temple, going to James Bond island (where Aom knew all the best photo spots), canoeing in the caves, and then walking around the floating island and having lunch which was REALLY good. She made sure that we were eating at a place that had good vegetarian options as we requested. The long tail boat ride was a lot of fun and we had the best views both coming and going since we were the only ones on the boat. While we were driving from our hotel to boat dock, she stopped and and let us get coffee (none of the coffee shops were open that early in the little Phuket beach town we were staying at) and then made a second surprise stop to buy us some fresh pineapple with "hot salt" as a snack which was absolutely delicious. On the way home, she helped us buy some Thai teas to take home with us - she knew just where to stop to get the best deals and best variety. Throughout the day she took lots of pics of us and then sent them all to us at the end of the day. We loved Aom and Tours by Locals in general because all of the tour guides seem to go above and beyond. You would never be able to have this kind of customized tour through Viator or Trip Advisor, both of which we have used extensively in the past. THANKS AOM FOR A GREAT DAY!!!

Jo was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to James Bond Island via long tail boat with kayaking and the mangroves. She was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history and her English is quite good! We would highly recommend her as a tour guide.

Unfortunately, our guide hurt her feet. Fon was her replacement. She was amazing. So caring about making sure we saw all the sites on our wish list. The scenery was incredible and the food was absolutely the best. We all wanted to come back to Thailand soon.

What great tour and fantastic tour guide. From the very first interaction with "Jo" (Patthanant K.) it was clear to tell she was the right choice. Very knowledgeable, considerate, honest, and fun. What a great personality. She made all of us feel so comfortable. The sites and scenes were amazing. Phang Nga Bay is beautiful and the canoe into the caves is a must do. We loved the lunch as well and we learned a lot about Malaysia and more. The driver (sorry I forgot his name) and the van were great. Such a comfortable way to see Phuket. This tour, and more so this tour guide, is an absolute can't miss. I can't recommend her enough. We had a lot of laughs while seeing and learning great things.
