Already during the 1-hour train ride from Lucerne to Engelberg, you will admire the beautiful panorama of the mountains and the traditional wooden chalet houses. A popular resort for skiers and hikers in the past was only a small village built near the walls of the monastery established in the 12th century. If you wish, we can view the main buildings of the complex from the outside and the main church. We will definitely visit a small cheese production, where we can watch how the craftsmen work, and I will tell you about the unusual shape of one of the cheeses. Now it's time to go to the mountains! Even if you have already visited the alpine peaks, a trip to Titlis is an unforgettable experience. The world's only rotating gondola, an ice grotto with sculptures. We will also walk through the eternal snow, admire the majestic panorama of the Alps and listen to the wind singing in the steel ropes of the of the famous 100-meter-long TITLIS Cliff Walk suspension bridge.

I live close by the Interlaken area so I have spent time at the famous Jungfraujoch which changed a lot the past years!

Did you know that in the early days when the Jungfraujoch station was built they used sleddogs to transport all the material to build the top?

At 3463 metres this is very impressive! For years there was a sleddog station at the Eigerglacier which became a tourist attraction for some time. Since I have sleddogs myself for over 20 years, the story about the dogs interests me a lot.

Now there is a new Eiger express funicular, which brings you up to the top much faster.

You will meet snowy winter all year around. Beautiful snow mountains as far as your eyes can see. . snow crunches under your feet. . overlooking the Aletsch Glacier, which will take your breath away!

We will meet at the Caritas Velostation which is located just next to the train station Lucerne.

After welcoming you I will introduce you to the electric cargo bike and then you have enough time to drive in a safe area to get used to the bike. As soon as you feel safe and comfortable we start our tour.

In case you don't want to drive the bike by yourself, it is a pleasure for me to drive you around. We leave the city center and drive towards Horw, one of the richest areas in Switzerland.

During the tour, we will do many stops where I will tell you facts and personal stories about the area and my life. The tour is great for biking and really safe, moreover, we drive slowly to enjoy the surroundings and take some great pictures.

Optional activities:

- we can stop at the best coffee place in Lucerne and have a coffee degustation;

- we can visit a farm and eat dishes Angus burgers and enjoy a glass of wine. The farm is located in a beautiful place with a fantastic view of the alps.

Ballenberg is a huge outdoor park near Interlaken. The great thing about this park is that you can walk around through hills and forests surrounded by mountains while seeing many different interactive traditional attractions. Ballenberg I would say is one of the best places to visit in whole Switzerland. Even I myself learned a lot more about the Swiss culture visiting this place in the last years. It is great to see where the Swiss culture is coming from and to learn how simple life was so long ago compared to now.

There are small stores too where you can buy souvenirs and Ballenberg produced food and clothes and there is a horse carriage to get around as well.
The park also includes animals like cows, pigs so it's a wonderful place to go with with the family!

The medieval city is situated directly on the shores of Lake Lucerne. The world wide known landmark of Lucerne, the medieval Chapel Bridge with its defensive tower, the Water Tower, are in the heart of Lucerne and are considered to be one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe.

Another landmark of the town is the Museggmauer, a fortification wall which could have been preserved partly in its original, well-fortified state. Historic houses decorated with frescoes, Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic churches make Lucerne worth seeing. The Jesuit church dating from the 17th century is regarded as Switzerland's first sacral Baroque building.

The Lion's Monument with the dying lion, where 800 Swiss Guards died during the French Revolution is one of the most attractive and well known monuments in Switzerland.

Ballenberg Switzerland Tour From Lucerne

These days clean water is a big treasure, but in Lucerne it is everywhere. Wherever we go - to the Jesuit Church or to the Old Town Hall, all time the river Reuss will constantly be very close to us. And then there is this beautiful lake and the view to the Alps, the project of a talented experimenter Jean Nouvel and real steam boats. Just one step away from the promenade and in front of us is a high staircase that leads to the cathedral.

Later we will take a short detour to see Lion Monument. Heading back to the Reuss river we will stroll around the center enjoying the architecture of its squares and richly fresco painted houses. Now we can climb to the ancient fortresses. It is always quiet near the thick walls of the centuries-long survivors.

Perhaps, the view from here will remain in your memory as a true portrait of Lucerne - spires and domes of churches, medieval houses decorated with bright frescoes, bridges under the triangular roofs, mountains Pilatus and Rigi and . . . a lot of clean water.

Brienz is an amazing traditional villiage right at the deep blue lake of Brienz with its beautiful color! The village presents you with its wooden chalet houses surrounded by mountains and the lake. . Very extraordinary and original.

Strolling along the deep blue lake and walking through the village with the beautiful wooden chalet houses is a great experience!

You will also find some sculptures along the lake.

Visiting the woodcarving museum or the famous Ballenberg open air museum will be lots of fun! Closed in winter!
