Hola dear friends! Bienvenidos a Málaga, I am Carolina! I am Portuguese, and Oporto is the town where I grew up and lived until 2016, the year when I met the love of my life (my boyfriend Manuel) in Málaga, Spain! Since then I keep being in love with him, but I also fell in love with the beautiful Málaga, the city I consider now my home! Growing up with my mom (retired teacher), and my father (former tour guide) I was always surrounded by books, and soon discover my passion for culture and traveling, so when I was 14 years old I decided to become a tour guide, and during high school and university I never stop chasing my dream, that became true in 2007, after I graduated in Tourism. Later I became a licensed guide in Andalucía (Spain) , and since then I've been able to live my dream and I every day I feel very fortunate to be able to express the passion for what I do and to show to you the beauty of all the places where I guide. During these last years I had the chance to guide and travel substantially in Europe, doing cultural tours, wine & food tours, religious pilgrimages which exposed me to many different cultures and people during those trips, helping to shape the person I am today. I also consider myself a "people person", and in fact that is probably what I really enjoy the most about guiding, surrounding myself with great people and having the chance to exchange experiences and to communicate with my travelers, often creating lifetime bonds. I also love being with my friends and family, if possible enjoying some nice food and drinks (I am a foodie that loves rooftop terraces), but enjoy very much hiking, snorkeling, and sing out loud both when driving or in live music concerts! All this time living in Málaga made me realize that this is the city where I want to settle and live the rest of my life, and my Portuguese friends call me "Malagueña by heart" because they know how much I love Spain and how well I've adapted to this incredible town where the climate is mild and generous, the people are welcoming and dynamic, the gastronomy is rich an colorful, the architecture combines tradition with contemporaneity and I have the chance not only to enjoy all this for myself, but also to share with you what I experience everyday as a local. Together we can taste all the wonders of Malaga's gastronomy and wines, we can get lost in the old town and letting ourselves get amazed by the architecture and local culture by interacting with locals. Or I can help you learn more about Picasso' first steps towards affirmation as a remarkable artist or just to discover other fascinating cities of our province like Ronda and its striking surroundings. Come to Málaga, I will help you feel all the great energy of this vibrant city and together we'll experience a true immersion on the meaning of being a malagueño. Olé!!!
