Originally from Southern California, I have lived on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca (Majorca) since 1994. I consider myself a local and enjoy showing visitors what I love about Mallorca as though they were my family or best friends. My specialty is visiting the unknown Mallorca, off the beaten path, away from tourist traps. My tours offer more than the usual mass tourism sites, museums, and monuments. I concentrate on a local experience, emphasizing the people, the food, and the smaller places to find hidden treasures for unique experiences and powerful interactions. As I've traveled through Europe, I've noticed that many visitors, especially first-time visitors, don't have the chance to travel outside the capital cities. Come with me to visit Mallorca's specialty wineries, its picturesque markets, beautiful beaches, and coves. Slow down and enjoy my signature tour, "Made in Mallorca. " Visit the workshops of the island's artisans and learn the process of how handcrafted a master luthier makes concert and flamenco guitars. The workshops of contemporary and traditional ceramicists, glassmakers, shoemakers, and many more are open to you. If food and wine are more to your liking, you'll be surprised to know that the island has over 100 wineries! Let's visit a few and pair the wine with a traditional Mallorcan lunch. Visit an olive grove and taste extra virgin olive oil after being pressed. Meet the locals! Much has happened in Mallorca, and it is reflected in the sites, the food, and in the faces of the islanders. This is the Mallorca I would like to show you. Since starting with ToursByLocals in 2012, I've worked closely with US travel agencies, destination management companies, luxury hotels, and cruise ships to show the best of Mallorca to their clients. ** All tours can be customized, and more people can be added to the tours. Add or delete elements as you like. Just message me with your ideas, and I will help you to create a memorable visit. Overview of your Mallorca tour

This is a four-hour tour, but it can be extended to six hours. It is priced for up to six visitors but can be adjusted for larger groups. Begin your Mallorca adventure with an ascent into the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you will be awestruck at the stunning examples of terraced, farmed landscapes. Orchards, vegetable gardens, ancient olive groves, a waterworks network, small farms, and large estates exemplify the interchange between man and the land. We'll stop in Valldemossa, one of the island's most beautiful villages. Then we'll take the coastal road to Deià with a stop to enjoy the views from a lookout created by an Austrian Archduke. Since the views are of primary importance, there will be plenty of photo opportunities for the photographer. **The route through the Tramuntana Mountains can be adapted to your interests. Gina's tour was concentrated on the beautiful mountain towns 25 minutes from the port. I realized she hires a driver because the towns are very small and parking limited. This way for our convenience we could be dropped off and picked up without long walks to parking. The scenery and Historic background provided by Gina made the tour very satisfying. I think the highlight was our visit to a very upscale hotel where her husband is a resident artist. The artwork, art path and views were all spectacular. I definitely recommend this guide.

We had a lovely day exploring with Gina. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Mallorca and its surrounds from little towns with quaint shops to the terraced farmed lands. We saw gorgeous properties including large estates and small farms always with an entertaining story from Gina. Gina is a good, careful driver and her car is clean and well maintained. Thank you, Gina!

What a wonderful day we had seeing the gorgeous mountainside Mallorcan towns of Valldemossa and Deia with guide Gina. She is a wealth of history and local culture! It was great having our own driver, so we could freely talk and learn while driving from Gina and not waste time looking for very limited parking. We have been to 64 countries and these 2 villages are in the top 5 for beauty! Thanks again!
