Busan was never spotlighted until our last dynasty, Joseon. However it had become an important city during Japanese colonial period(1910-1945) and many Japanese people settled down in Busan because it was the nearest port from Japan. Many Korean moved to Busan to find a new opportunities. The second migration to Busan was during Korean war. Many war refuges moved to Busan to evacuate from the civil war. US army arrived to Busan at the same time. Eventually Busan became provisional capital of Korea during Korean war and population has grown dramatically. Some people went back their home but some remained in Busan after the war. This tour will show you an interesting part of contemporary and modern history of Korea in an old town of Busan.
