Busan City Highlights Full-day Private Tour

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring some of the most beautiful and fascinating parts of Busan with our private guide, Helena. Helena picked us up directly from our hotel and we began our day with a drive to Yonggungsa Temple, spectacularly built into the rocks on the eastern coast of Busan. The temple itself is beautiful, but the stunning ocean views make this place truly unforgettable. From there, we continued to Dongbaek Park, where we enjoyed magnificent views across Haeundae Beach and its impressive skyline. We walked along the beautiful boardwalk to see the mermaid statue before crossing through the gorgeous Camellia trees to visit the Nurimaru APEC House, which offers yet another spectacular perspective, including views toward the iconic Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Perfectly timed for lunch, Helena took us to Jagalchi Fish and Seafood Market, where we enjoyed delicious local specialties including freshly grilled fish, abalone, pajeon and a wonderful selection of banchan. Helena was tremendously helpful in guiding us through the market and explaining the various local dishes and specialties, making the experience both delicious and memorable. After lunch, we spent some time wandering through Gukje Market, marvelling at the incredible variety of things being sold there — quite literally, it seemed, everything! It was fascinating to explore and get a glimpse into everyday life and local culture. Thank you for helping us finding Korean sesame oil and Perilla seed oil. Our final stop was Gamcheon Culture Village in southwest Busan. With its stacked pastel-coloured houses, colourful streets and vibrant artistic atmosphere, it is such a unique and lively neighbourhood and a wonderful way to finish the day. Throughout the entire tour, Helena shared her knowledge of Busan’s history, culture and modern-day life, giving us a much deeper appreciation of this beautiful city. She was also an exceptional driver. Navigating a large, busy city, tight streets and crowded parking areas while simultaneously talking, explaining and making sure we were comfortable was truly impressive. Thank you, Helena, for such a memorable day discovering Busan. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to experience the city with a knowledgeable, thoughtful and highly capable private guide.

Excellent city tour. Visited the major sights within the city. We were not rushed and had enough time to see each of the attractions. Helena was an excellent guide, taking the time to explain what we were seeing and ensuring everyone knew the timing at each stop.

We had a great tour with Helena. We did not have any idea what we should see in Busan. She had an extensive list of possibilities and gave us a wonderful day. We particularly enjoyed the Ha Nok coffee shop, a traditional beautiful cafe. She also took us to the United Nations National Cemetery, a powerful and moving place to visit the day before Korea's Memorial Day. We also made more traditional stops such as Yonggungsa Temple. Her car was new, spacious and extremely comfortable.
