Hi, I'm Liza and I am a qualified hiking and tourist guide and also ski instructor based in the Bohinj Valley. I lead a fulfilling life and am passionate about nature and the outdoors and have excellent local knowledge having lived in this beautiful part of the world all of my life. Slovenia is a small country located on the sunny side of the Alps but has an incredibly diverse landscape with stunning natural features which I can share with you. . . I live in Bohinj between Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled - a perfect location to explore the wonders of Triglav National Park which is a paradise for hiker's and lovers of nature at it's best. I am the owner of tourist agency and can offer a complete service attending to every detail of your stay - including advice about your trip, organisation of accommodation, local transport, airport transfers, excursions, tickets and anything else you may require to make your holiday a memorable experience. I speak German, English, Croatian and Serbian as well as Slovene and take great pleasure from my work - this is a beautiful country and I will ensure that you leave with everlasting memories - but make sure you bring your camera to capture the best moments - plus a big memory card. . . !! Tourist guide, mountain guide, ski instructor, skipper, animator Non restrictions and no limit!

Komna is very special place with a great view on the Bohinj valley and Bohinj lake. On the rocks they builded a beautiful mountain hut, which is very popular. We will begin our ascent to the Komna Mountain Hut walking along a former 1st World War trail which traverses back and forth up the mountainside through a beautiful beech forest. The trail is very well made and has stood the test of time with a well made series of switchbacks underpinned by substantial stoneworks at key sections as we traverse the otherwise steep mountainside. Throughout the walk you will see many remnants of such stonework laid down by soldiers from the 1st World War which make up our route along a former supply line mule trail.

Thankfully, as a result of the soldiers endeavours, the walking is fairly easy and within 2. 5 hours we will emerge at the Komna Hut commanding stunning views of Bohinj Lake, Vogel and neighbouring mountains - the perfect place for our lunch stop where you can either picnic outdoors or purchase food and enjoy panoramic views towards Bohinj Lake from the Komna Hut. After lunch we the descend by the same route back to Savica Falls.
