Hi and welcome to my Toursbylocals profile, the starting point for your hiking tours on Transylvanian trails! This tour will show you in close details some of the most spectacular and remote landscapes Romania has to offer. We will explore unbeaten tracks in Trascău Mountains part of Apuseni mountain range. These mountains will charm you with the complexity of the karst landscapes, with the wild nature and old communities living in spars villages. Make sure you take your camera with you because at every moment you will witness spectacular gorges, caves, grottos, high steep rocky walls, dales and amazing viewpoints! Last but not the least you will rest and enjoy some local foods in the traditional guesthouses of Rimetea.

The tour starts and ends in Cluj Napoca Highlights: Day 1: - Scărița Belioara nature reserve - The pearl of Apuseni Mountains - Arieș Valley - the main river valley in Apuseni Mountains 6-7 hours hiking with elevation of 650 meters The tour will end at your accommodation for the day. Day 2: - Plaiului gorge nature reserve - Dragons cave and dragons portal - Bedeleului gorge 7-8 hours hiking with elevation of 700 meters The tour will end at your accommodation for the day. Day 3: - Șipote Waterfall - Vânătările Ponorului waterfall - the place where BBC filmed the documentary Wild Carpathia. 3-4 hours hiking with 300 meters elevation The tour will end at your accommodation for the day.
