Overview of your Lisbon tour
Lord Byron called Sintra the "Garden of Eden" and others have named it the "Most beautiful village in the world. " Discover why on this 6-hour sightseeing tour around its paradisiacal streets and gardens. We will start this tour of the rural villages outside Lisbon with a visit to Queluz National Palace and Gardens. Built as a royal residence by King Peter III, Queluz is one of the best examples of late 18th-century Portuguese architecture. Home to an important collection of decorative arts, the palace also boasts beautiful geometric gardens of lakes, sculptures and a colorfully-tiled canal. You will have the services of an expert guide, me! I will explain the history of how Sintra came to be, while we wander around romantic and mysterious locations. We will also go to Cabo da Roca (Cape Roca), the most western point of mainland Europe before we return to Lisbon to finish a perfect day through this magical place.

Diana was the perfect guide for our young family. Our two young boys (ages 4 and 1) loved her and she helped us through the challenges of traveling with toddlers. Our time was limited but she absolutely maximized our time, seeing as much as possible given the circumstances. She is extremely knowledgeable being from the area and she gave us great information and facts both on the way to the tour sites and at the location themselves. We can't wait to come back and tour with her more extensively.

We throughly enjoyed our Discover Sintra Tour today with Diana! Diana was very friendly, kind, fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our walk in the forest gardens at Palace Monserrat's!
