Miguel was an excellent guide. Having traveled to more than half the countries in the world, he has a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. He is passionate about wine and proud of his country, and he loves sharing his knowledge and personal stories. His enthusiasm made the experience both engaging and memorable.

Absolutely recommend if you love wine and want to go to off the beaten path wineries with amazing wines (table and port). Miguel was wonderful. We really enjoyed our day with him talking wine, travel and food as well as local culture. Every place he picked was a different experience and the people were very welcoming.

He arranged the best winery tours from small family owned wineries to larger facilities. It was the perfect tour of the amazing Douro Valley…can’t recommend this tour with Miguel enough!

Quinta do Crasto- Perched high above the river with breathtaking views, this estate offered both exceptional wines and a truly memorable lunch that paired perfectly with the setting. Wine & Soul- An intimate, family-run gem producing wines with personality and heart. Miguel made the experience seamless, from the scenic drives through the valley’s terraced vineyards to the thoughtfully paced tastings. March 2025 - we had a fantastic time with Miguel in the Douro Valley. He’s friendly and funny and knows the Douro Valley like he grew up there - wait, what?? (he actually did grow up there) He and his sidekick (shout out to Jennifer!) helped us plan our itinerary for the day to include 2 wineries. Great day in a beautiful area, drinking excellent wine, but not driving! Highly recommend Miguel!
