Arequipa: It's located at 2325 masl, in the desert mountains of the Andes. This is the second most important city in Peru. The Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral are the most beautiful in the country and with colonial building styles. This beautiful city is practically built in volcanic white tuff (sillar). its possible to see many types of products from the agriculture in the local market, local bussines and the delicious tipical food. The Colca Valley is a colorful Andean valley with pre-Inca roots, and towns founded in Spanish colonial times, still inhabited by people of the Collagua and the Cabana cultures. The local people maintain their ancestral traditions and continue cultivating the pre-Inca agricultural terraces.
1st day: Walking tour: 05 hours. Main square and cathedral: One of the most beautiful main square in South America, it's considered the most beautiful in Peru, it was built in 1621. Santa Catalina Covent: It was founded in 1580, it is one of the most fascinating religious buildings in Peru, in 1979 when the Monastery was closed. Jesuits cloister and Church: It was built in 1698, it is one of the most representative monuments in the 17th-century religious architecture. San Ignacio Chapel: A beautiful polychromatic chapel. San Camilo Local market: Designed by Gustav Eifel. Colonial streets: to appreciate colonial houses and old streets. Santuarios Andinos museum: its to appreciate one of the most conserved mummy in the world, her name is JUANITA. 2nd day: we are going to the Colca Valley, we stop in many viewpoints, wildlife, mountains, an active volcano, the lunch in Chivay and the hotel. 3rd day: we will visit the Canyon, viewpoints, pre inca terraces, andean towns, lunch and we comeback to Arequipa city.
