I also won a Top Guide Award in 2010 by REI Adventure Travel. Founder of Cerro de Piedra a Conservation project in the rural area of El Mojon Masaya. This is a unique project and the only model of Green living and conservation in small scale in the country. In my nature tours we do not disturb the wildlife from the natural habitat. One of my greatest passions is nature and adventure, especially bird watching; but also politics, religion, culture, and most important Nicaraguan Gastronomy. On my free time, the greatest leisure of all is to be with my lovely daughters and my beautiful wife. Nature Hike in a dry Tropical Forest
Overview of your San Juan Del Sur tour
We will start our tour as soon we meet in the port of San Juan del Sur with a sight seing of the town of San Juan del Sur and drive to the private nature reserve in San Juan del Sur. Here we will take our nature hike for about 2 hours where we will have the opportunity to spot exotic birds native of dry tropical forest and Mammals like Howlers monkeys, white face monkeys and if we are lucky, Sloths. Later we will drive to Lake Nicaragua and see a beautiful view of Ometepe Island form by two volcano Concepcion active and Madera dormant. Also we will have the chances to spot shore birds. For Last we will drive to Rivas to see the city and have a delicious lunch. Now is time to come back to the Port of San Juan del Sur. Important Note: I'm a professional Naturalist guide and we will never be disturbing the wildlife from their natural habitat.
