Ulaanbaatar Private City Tour

Having raised in Ulaanbaatar, I know many secrets and history of this capital city of Mongolia. The city represents a stunning mix of cultural heritage and historical richness from ancient empires, Soviet period and modern democratic country. We will be exploring all the highlights of the Ulaanbaatar and we will visit Genghis Khan Museum, Gandan Monastery and the Zaisan Hill. All the sites represents a certain historical period. Some of the places have changed during the time but I can give you a good picture of how it is changing. You can get real picture of the history of Mongolia and Ulaanbaatar from me, a true local and not from the news. These are my childhood favorite places. Although today they've become the main historical sites of Ulaanbaatar, they still remain special in my heart as part of my childhood memories. I would like to share with you these amazing places. I will meet you at your hotel or place you are staying and leave for the tour. Sukhbaatar Square - Central point of Ulaanbaatar, government building, and Genghis Khan's Memorial and other historical buildings nearby. National Museum - Great place to be introduced of Mongolian history, culture Gandan Monastery - is one of the biggest Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia; the main place for pilgrims and monks. Zaisan Hill - This peak provides a panoramic view of the capital city and on the hill has the WWII memorial. Return to your hotel. Total 6 hours. Other optional places to go for extra hours (with extra fee): Visit a local family in ger. Gobi Cashmere factory shop, Boghd Khan's Museum, Choijin Lama Museum, State Department Store - Souvenir shopping, Mongolian Traditional Concert - performance of contortion, and throat singing etc. Lunch is not included, and please treat the guide with lunch.
