Hi and welcome to Ipoh! My name in Ping Kong, I was born at Kuala Kangsar, the royal town where the palace of the Sultan of Perak is situated , 30 km from Ipoh. Ipoh is the capital city of Perak. I love to travel, both to cities, as well as out of town, back to the wilderness. I have been working as tourist guide for about ten years. Meeting people from all walks of life, from different countries. I also organize training for other Malaysian tourist guides when there is request. Perak is a great state, the oldest tin mining heritage in the country, the world oldest tropical rain forest, the oldest virgin jungle hill station in Peninsular Malaysia. The Sepatang River with fireflies stretching few km long, with about 120 trees full of firefly, where crocodile cruising quietly along the river. All year long blue sky and sunshine, beautiful limestone hill surround the Ipoh city, contributing the fresh and clean air, wonderful backdrop with regular rainfall. Ipoh is a food haven. You can find authentic and tasty food, with recipes transferred from one generation to another generation. Ipoh and Taiping are the most sought after destination for retirement.
