We had a fantastic time exploring Tokyo with Mari. It was the perfect mix of historic sites, interesting information and fun things/shops that would be hard to find as a tourist. Our two sons (17 and 15 years) also had a great time and truly enjoyed the time we spent with Mari. She also equipped us with ideas to do and see for the rest of our days in Tokyo and answered all our questions you'd wish to ask from a local, had you known one.

We had such a wonderful time on our tour! Our guide made the itinerary feel truly personal, taking the time to ask about our group’s interests and tailoring everything to fit us perfectly. She shared culture and history along the way, and her knowledge made every stop more meaningful. Mari was able to fit so much history, site seeing, and food touring into a 5 hour window. One member of our group had a gluten allergy and another does not eat seafood, and Mari went above and beyond to ensure our meals were safe and enjoyable for everyone in the group. The two restaurants we visited were local gems we would have otherwise missed. One had a sake pairing with our dishes. Delicious! Overall, the experience was special and it was a great way to explore Tokyo. The tour was absolutely worth the value, and we would gladly reach out to her again if we’re lucky enough to return to Japan!

She is bright, personable, kind and flexible and knows the ins-and-outs of this vast, complex city like the palm of her hand. Her love of Tokyo and love and dedication to her profession as guide enthused and inspired us and provided us with a truely Insider’s experience of Tokyo and the history and culture which form it. We are a group of 70 year olds with interests and expectt as diverse as our age so it might have felt like herding cats to most guides, but Mari guided us to both well known and insider points of interés in a way which met our individual expectations and encouraged each of us to alll but feel like we lived here.
