Hi, I'm Kazu. I'd like to talk to you a little bit about myself. I was born and brought up in Shimanto-cho in the western part of Kochi Prefecture. The word ""Shimanto"" in the town's name, needless to say, comes from the Shimanto River, which is called ""the last clear stream in Japan."" Shimanto-cho, my dear hometown, is in the middle basin of the Shimanto River, and is really abundant in nature. Now I live in Kochi city. I have been running a juke, a private school, for 39 years. I teach math and science, and my wife teaches English and Japanese. At present I have about 50 students and most of them are junior high or high school students. They come to my juku to study for regular exams at school or entrance exams for high school or university. I've been interested in traveling in foreign countries. I go abroad twice a year, and I've visited more than 30 countries so far. Among them, Austria is my most favorite country. It's a country where I can relax most and feel happiest. Vienna, the capital of Austria, has been selected many times as the world's best city to live in. Only a few days of stay had been enough until I agreed to take it. Now I'm making a plan to visit Austria again this summer. And I'll make Vienna the main place to stay and go out to Hungary and Czeck. My favorite pastime is reading books. I read at least ten books a month. One of the things I like to do is to sing at karaoke bars. I don't mean to brag, but I'm a good singer! Thank you so much.
