Hi, I'm Eiji. Welcome to Kagoshima!! Born in Tokyo, I left the bustling capital at the age of 23 with just a small backpack. After spending my youth traveling and experiencing the world—visiting more than 25 countries in total—I returned to Japan and lived in several regions, including Yakushima, Izu, Kochi, and the southern subtropical island of Amami Oshima. Now, I live in southern Kyushu as the father of a 7-year-old boy, still carrying a deep sense of wanderlust. Since 2010, I have worked as an English-speaking tour guide in Japan: for three years with a local tour operator, five years as a sea kayak guide in Izu, and nine years as a self-employed guide in Amami. I love sharing time with guests from all over the world. I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and surfing, and I always love engaging with nature wherever I go while learning the history of each place. I look forward to showing you my favorite spots in Kagoshima and sharing our time together!

Miyazaki, located at the southernmost of Kyushu by the Pacific, is known as "Hinata of Japan", translated as "Sunny place of Japan" for the longest sunlight hours in the country, with its plenty of nature, unique culture and history. Let's enjoy Miyazaki to the fullest with the 3 must-go destinations!! Cape Toi, located at the southern tip of the prefecture, is famous for the native species of horse "Misaki Uma" inhabit in the area. Let's drive around the beautiful cape to say hello to them!!
