Hello! Thank you for reading my profile. My name is Hitomi. I lived in foreign countries for over 8 years, such as US, Canada, France, Australia, Singapore and Spain. I love traveling like you do. Besides traveling, I enjoy drawing, painting, cycling, cooking and eating delicious food! I was born in Kagoshima, grew up in Miyazaki and now live in Fukuoka(all in Kyushu island!). What I love about Kyushu island is that people are friendly, it's not too crowded and the nature is beautiful. And most importantly the food is delicious! We have fresh fish, seafood, meat and so many kinds of delicious dishes! I got my guide license in 2017 and I've been working as a guide since. I love this job because I get to meet people from all over the world. Learning new languages and getting touch with other cultures inspires me. Beppu city is known for one of the biggest hot spring places in Japan. In the old days, people could not get close to the area because of those boiling hot geysers erupting from the ground, it looked just like "Hell". We hire a local driver to visit some interesting spots that you don't want to miss in Beppu city. We visit 4 different hells and Monkey park. We also go to Jyumonjibaru observatory to see the beatiful view of Beppu city. For lunch let's try Jigokumushi, you choose your ingredients and cook them with natural hot spring steam comes out from the ground.
If you are visiting the Beppu area, we highly recommend hiring Hitomi as your tour guide. She is highly knowledgeable and offers a unique perspective. We had a full day planned and we ended seeing even more sites than we expected. Hitomi tailored the day to meet our interests and likes. The history is this part of Japan is unique, and Hitomi's perspective and background make her an excellent choice if you are looking for a local guide.
Hitomi guided us to unique and beautiful sites our shore excursion. We saw various “hells” and were taken to an overlook of the beautiful area. The highlight of our day was a fabulous lunch experience at a local restaurant. So fortunate to have this experience with a caring, knowledgeable guide and capable driver. You can, too! Excellent tour. We had a wonderful and thoughtful visit. Hatomi showed us the major tourist attractions as well as some off of the road places that we never would have found. I would absolutely recommend her.

We had a great time in Beppu, and it was nice that we were able to go to some of the "touristy" Jigoku's as well as the private ones, that lent itself to a quieter atmosphere. She was able to adjust the schedule well too, when the monkey's didn't appear on the mountain; we were able to adjust the schedule a little bit and everything ended up working out perfectly!
Hitomi did a great job showing us the sights of Beppu The weather was hot & steamy so we cut short some of the walking involved in seeing some of the hot springs that Hitomi had intended for us to visit . Hitomi & her very capable driver Mr Honda were very patient taking us for coffee & cake away from the busy tour bus frequented cafes. One of the highlights was the cable car ride to see the hundreds of monkeys that live up on the mountain . We all had a great tour due to Hitomi tailoring the tour to our wants
●Jyumonjibaru observatory Visit 4 hells: ● Blood pond hell～It really looks like a real hell because of this red pond. Oni(Japanese devil) awaits you there. ●Ocean hell～Beautiful hell. It is so beautiful that makes you wanna jump in, but don't！ It's 98℃！ ●Bouzu hell～Amazing hell. You will see mud ponds boiling! ●Myoban hell～Interesting hell. You can see huts where they grow Yunohana(mineral deposits) inside. Have lunch- enjoy healthy food and have fun! ●Monkey park There are 900 Japanese monkeys living in this mountain. Enjoy watching those cute wild monkeys. *This tour starts from 10:30AM or later and I will come to Beppu port to meet you.
