Navar was so hospitable and engaging. He showed my group of six some breathtaking views, took us shopping, brought us to the beach, and to a local jerk chicken restaurant. We felt so comfortable and safe! He taught us about the island, some Jamaican phrases, and about his culture. He even gave us his recipe for peas and rice... Delicious! I can't recommend him enough. What a special day with what I would call a new friend!
The raft trip was amazing. Our Captain was informative and clearly knows the river extremely well. Plus, he was fun to talk with. After the raft trip, Navar took us on a car tour of Falmouth and Montego Bay. We had a fantastic time. I'd told Navar how much my husband and I love Jamaican meat pies, and he took us to an out of the way spot in Montego Bay for the best meat patties I've ever had. We highly recommend Navar, the raft trip, and ToursbyLocals for great excursions.
He was a really good guide, very funny and my teenage son got on with him real well. He was also flexible; we went to the Marta Brae rafting and it was crowded and it looked lame, so he took us to Rapid RIver Adventures about 20 minutes away and that was a better activity. We also did some overtime and went to lunch at a good restaurant in Montego Bay. He was real easy-going about all of it. We had a great day with him!
