Ciao! My name is Valerio, I'm 36 years old I live in Rome and I'm an archeologist. I graduated in Archaeology in 2015 and in the late 2017 I got a Master Degree in Science of Archeology and Methodology of Archeological Research. I passed my exam to become a tour guide in July 2018, I can legally exercise the profession on national level, and I have also the license as tour leader. I was born and raised in Rome, and I chose to be an archeologist at a young age, fascinated by the work that I saw everytime I went in the center of my city, by the huge buildings thousands of years old and the incredible history behind them. That feeling of pride and luck and fascination, is still the same, even today. With my friends I found the passion of telling the history and the secrets behind the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, what did we archeologists do on a dig site, and I found them so interested in what I was telling them to make me ask myself: why do I not make this a profession? I mean, I enjoy telling stories, I studied hard to do so, so why not? So I became a Tour Guide, and I enthusiastically lead people who choose me as their guide on the same paths that fascinated me, assured that the feelings that pushed me to study archeology will be felt by those same people I'm leading. Rome has so much to offer, from the Roman to the Dark Ages, Renaissance, Contemporary and Modern times, and I can't wait to tell you, my dear reader, what there's to know about the Eternal City. •Master Degree in Science of Archeology and Methodology of Archeological Research (110/110 cum laude), University of Roma Tre La Sapienza, Rome, Italy (2017) •Graduation in History and Conservation of Artistic and Archeological Patrimony, University of Roma Tre La Sapienza, Rome, Italy (2015) •Tour Guide license earned in Bari, Italy 2018 •Tour Leader license earned in Florence, Italy 2018 •High School Diploma "Liceo Classico Orazio", Rome, Italy (2005-2006) I'm not a driver but I can arrange private transportation if you require

Rome has pretty much everything when you come to tourism: great sights, culture, museums, events, and food. Gastronomy is something that moves entire nations, and Italy has been always on the top tier list in this regard. How: we will move togheter through the city center, experiencing not only the unique sights of my city, but we'll do so while eating our amazing food! Where: we will hit three major locations on our trip togheter through the city, a Gelateria where you'll taste the best gelato of Rome, a Bakery shop and then I'll lead you to a special, small place near the Roman Forum for lunch, owned by a friend of mine that makes the best lasagnas in the area.
- Hotel pick up (if in city center) - Spanish Steps - Trevi Fountain - Break in one the most famous ice cream and pastry shop in Rome center. - Pantheon - Navona Square with the most famous sculpures by Bernini; Renaissance at this best - Break in one the best Bakery shops in Rome center - Walk through Venice Square and the Imperial Fora: amazing sights and ruins of an ancient past - Lunch at the best italian bistro in the area. **Remember to wear comfortable shoes **During summer bring sun cream and a hat for protection **Bring plenty of water with you, but remember that every fountain and public water source of Rome is 100% potable **This tour synergises very well with my Colosseum tour.
