Hello! I'm Barbara and I come from a family of skilled woodcraft restorers, with a deep respect for history and craftsmanship, which has shaped my passion for guiding people through the timeless beauty of Rome. As a licensed tour guide, I have the unique opportunity to connect different cultures and eras, bridging the gap between the people who once lived in these ancient spaces and those who have traveled from across the world to experience them today. For me, each tour is more than just a recounting of history—it's about giving voice to the places we visit, bringing them back to life in a meaningful way. This is truly an honor, as I act as a living bridge between the past and the present, allowing you to experience Rome not only through its sights but through its stories and emotions. I specialize in creating personalized, off-the-beaten-path experiences for those who wish to travel differently—exploring hidden gems and lesser-known corners of the city. My tours are designed for those who want to feel like true insiders, seeing Rome from a unique perspective, away from the typical tourist crowds. Of course, we’ll also savor Rome’s stunning beauty and rich history, but rest assured, good food will always be around the corner—because what’s a tour of Rome without tasting its delicious culinary delights? Whether you’re interested in a deep dive into Roman history, exploring secret spots, or enjoying a leisurely walk through its most iconic areas, I will be attentive to your needs and expectations. I am committed to providing a tour experience that’s not only informative but also engaging and enjoyable. I am also passionate about making tours accessible to everyone. I am certified in special needs tourism, catering to both physical and sensory limitations, and I love being a family-friendly guide. Every tour is customizable to fit your interests, and I take great pride in creating tailored itineraries that make your time in Rome unforgettable. Credentials: - Licensed Tour Guide of Rome - Degree in Economy of Tourism - Post-graduate course in History of the Church (Pontificia University Gregoriana) - Special Needs Certifications (Physical & Sensory limitations) Please note: I am not a driver, but I can assist with arranging a car and driver if needed. Additionally, I am unable to offer tours inside the Vatican Museums.

Begin your adventure at the Arch of Constantine, where victorious legions once paraded through marble arches carved with scenes of triumph. Just steps away stands the legendary Colosseum: enter its stone corridors, imagine the roar of 50,000 spectators, and picture the gladiators preparing for combat in the arena. From there, continue into the Roman Forum, once the vibrant center of daily life, filled with merchants, priests, senators, and temples that embodied the power of Rome. Every ruin tells a fragment of history, from triumphal processions to political intrigues. Climb the Palatine Hill, birthplace of the Eternal City, where emperors built their palaces overlooking the Forum. From its heights, the views stretch across Rome, reminding you of the empire’s glory. This journey transforms ancient stones into vivid memories, allowing you to relive the drama, grandeur, and legends of Ancient Rome.
We will visit: - Colosseum - Roman Forum - Palatine Hill Important: Weather - I run tours rain or shine, and most of my itineraries take place entirely or partially outside. Water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended in summer, as are warm layers in winter. Tickets are name-specific: please provide me with the names of all the participants and bring a copy of a valid-ID on the day of the tour. For the afternoon tours: please check availability with me, as the closing times of the sites vary depending on the season.
