Buongiorno from Genoa! My name is Sandra, thank you for visiting my profile! I am a professional guide working in Genoa, the Italian Riviera and surroundings. I have travelled in different countries for pleasure and work and in the end I fell in love with Liguria, what an unexpected land! I have worked in the tourism industry since 1988, being based in Genoa since 1991, when I became a licensed Tour Leader. I have been working since 2003, as a licensed Tourist Guide, in the city of Columbus and Pesto sauce. I have been living, in this tiny corner of Italy, squeezed between mountains and sea, for decades. Liguria is where I have found my happiness. I consider care in details, empathy, flexibility and a capacity for sharing, to be as valuable qualities for a guide, no less so than having a proper regularly updated cultural preparation. I want to be your host and share with you this beautiful territory. My skills and expertise have been refined over the years and my current activities include giving guided tours in Genova, the surrounding areas and the Italian Riviera. My hobbies include travel, cinema, environment, home style. Being me Italian I love high quality food and wine and being originally from Veneto, I love sparkling bubbling Prosecco! Your private tour takes you to discover the true ligurian life close to the world famous Portofino. We visit Santa Margherita Ligure, not only the "gate" to Portofino, a lovely village by the Tigullio Gulf, pleasant to be discovered in your private tour with a local guide. Afterwards we visit Camogli, the gem of the Paradise Gulf, standing at the other side of the Portofino Promontory. It is a line of pastel colored sea-front facades and green shutters, hanging fishing nets, brightly colored fishing boats, a sun-beaten promenade, a baroque parish church and marble Madonna's votive offering niches, shady cafes and traditional bakeries
Sandra and our driver provided a wonderful day despite heavy rains. We visited Camogli where she shared the local food of focaccia and sweets. We traveled to Portofino to see the shops and had a wonderful lunch in the area of local pizza. It was an outstanding day despite the weather. Sandra and our driver provided excellent service.

Sandra was knowledgeable of Portofino , Santa margarita and camogli. She allowed us to stop at different viewpoints for pictures which we throughly enjoyed….simply beautiful. She took us to a great bakery for focaccia bread which was THE BEST! We were able to shop get some amazing souvenirs and had some great pizza. We loved our time in Portofino, thanks to Sandra! We Highly recommend her! Our driver Alessandro was great too!

•Pick up at Portofino •Introduction of the village with its highlights •Panoramic costal driving passing through the villages of Paraggi, Santa Margherita, San Michele and the town of Rapallo by the Tigullio Gulf •Visit of Camogli, the village of the fishermen jewel of the Paradise Gulf with its pedestrian alleys, the baroque parish church and the medieval castle •Panoramic driving as we cross the Portofino Promontory •Short visit of Santa Margherita •Drop off at Portofino, pedestrian limit, and plenty of useful tips to keep on enjoying the village on your own. Please note: The road crossing the Promontory is a narrow hairpin turns road. Moderate amount of walking as the villages of Portofino and Camogli are mostly pedestrian. This tour can be customized on request with a different pick up point, as a depart from Genoa. The change will affect the duration of the tour.
