Hi, I’m Emanuela from Milan, Italy. Nice to meet you! I’ve been a qualified tour guide since 2006, certified to lead tours in Milan, Monza, Como, and more. My experience has allowed me to meet people from all over the world and help them discover the beauty of my city (and the one of my country, too). I love art in all its forms (painting, sculpture, architecture, and music) and I love talking about it. I believe I'm privileged to have been born in a country rich in splendid works. I'm proud to have been born in a country that gave birth to such talented artists as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Puccini, and Verdi. What better job could there be to spread this message than that of a guide? I graduated from a high school specializing in foreign languages, art history, and tourism. I speak fluent English and French, and hold both a C1 Cambridge English and a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Like all Italians, I am skilled in non-verbal communication. We Italians are well known for our funny way of communicating through facial expressions and gestures, and during my tours, I love making them interactive and engaging as I teach guests to use hand “Italian” gestures. Try it and believe it! Another Italian tradition I like to introduce my guests to is the one tied to our good food. For Italians, good food, good wine, or simply a cup of espresso becomes the medium for sparking a pleasant conversation. And then Italian cuisine is now part of the world heritage. How could I avoid talking about our typical dishes during my tours? If you're looking for an effective way to admire splendid masterpieces, learn to enjoy good Italian food and wine, and even learn how to gesticulate as we do here in Italy, well, all you have to do is choose one of my tours. I look forward to seeing you here in Milan. If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

You will first tour the Ambrosiana Pinacoteca (or picture gallery) to admire works by Raffaello, Botticelli, Caravaggio, and many others. Among the halls, you will see the Aula Leonardi, which is a room entirely devoted to Leonardo Da Vinci. There you’ll behold a splendid work by the Tuscan artist: 'The Musican' created during his stay in Milan. The tour includes a view of the Ambrosiana library, the oldest public library in Europe. It’s a veritable treasure chest that houses the Codex Atlanticus, one of the most extensive collections of folios containing Leonardo da Vinci's drawings, personal notes, and projects. The tour will continue with a visit to the Piccolo Teatro courtyard. Once owned by Cecilia Gallerani, the lady portrayed by Leonardo Da Vinci in his work named 'Lady with an Ermine”, the building hides an interesting history to discover. The tour will end with a stroll through the Sforza Castle courtyards, once home to Ludovico Sforza, and then through Sempione Park.
