Hello!I am registered guide for the Region of Umbria. I was born in Assisi and I studied Foreign Languages at the University of Perugia. After university I obtained post university degrees in translation and linguistic as well in art and history. Over the years I have become fluent in English and German, and so, in addition to our work as a tour guide, I also work as interpreter, translator and Italian language teacher. Since many years I have offered personalized guide services in Umbria to thousands of people, travelling as individuals, couples or groups, introducing them to our spectacular landscape, our magnificent "art cities", and to our wines, food and culture. I look forward to sharing my love for the art and history of Umbria by exploring it with you. As tour we will follow a number of charming, interesting and evocative classical and also less famous routes through Umbria, exploring the best known Umbrian cities and towns. I'll wait for you in Umbria for sharing with you the wonder and the rich surprises of a journey to my beautiful region. I am an official licensed guide of Umbra Region and furthermore I am an official licensed travel agent. I've university and post university degrees in Foreign Languages & Tourism. In addition to that I have a master in translation and also in didactic which has been very helpful for making special tours for schools and universities. I am not a driver. Perugia is a city full of charme and history and I'll take you experiencing every ancient gate, alley, piazza, palazzo and church trying to capture your imagination; I'll make every museum and gallery impressing you with their sense of history, culture and art. Perugia indeed is not just a stuffy old showcase of the ancient, it also has a young, vibrant and energetic feel. My favourite in Perugia festivals in Perugia are the annual fall Chocolate festival and the summer Umbria Jazz festival, lending the city to a chic and urbane atmosphere unmatched by other Italian cities. Come on and go to Perugia together!
Your Foligno tour itinerary
Itinerary of the half day tour (about 2h30 hours) -Rocca Paolina (40 minutes time including below Porta Marzia and Piazza Italia) -Porta Marzia (Etruscan city gate) -Piazza Italia -Piazza del Sopramuro (10 minutes) -Palazzo dei Priori (the main square also with Fontana Maggiore and the Cathedral will be the focus of our tour and we will spend there about 1 hour) -Fontana Maggiore -Cattedrale di San Lorenzo -View from Porta Sole (this will be the stunning end of our tour. . . you will fall in love with the city in front of such a breathtaking panorama!) -Arco Etrusco (Etruscan city gate) As soon as you get tired I will be ready to show you local chocolate stores or old traditional coffee shops for hot chocolate, gelato or espresso topped with hand made whipped cream to get back your energy :)
