Shore Excursion: Jerusalem Old City

Disembark in Israel's largest port of Ashdod for an exhilarating tour! From Ashdod we will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to Jerusalem where we will start with my favourite panoramic lookout before descending into the many alleys of the ancient city! From the Mount of Olives Church we head to the Gardens of Gethsemane, Jewish Quarter and Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Temple Mount/Dome of the Rock (if open). We'll have time to explore the Arab souk (market), tasting from the local fare and strolling along off-the-beaten-path alleys that only a local would know. Get a taste of the rich cultural and religious diversity of this complex and compelling city as I share stories of peace seekers and conquerors, pilgrims and visionaries who have made an impact on this city. Before leaving Jerusalem, we will view the Knesset (Israel's Parliament building) and get a feel of the modern city. Drop-off in Ashdod port.
