Hello, I'm George, welcome to Ireland! I live in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the hills and mountains of the Dingle peninsula. Beginning with childhood holidays at my mother's home in Dingle and eventually moving here to pursue scenic photography full-time, I've spent over 30 years exploring and photographing County Kerry as well as the rest of Ireland, discovering the backroads and small lanes that meander along the hillsides, through the farmlands, past ancient churches, castles, standing stones and even farm tracks, that just end abruptly on the wild Atlantic coastline. Since 2016, I've been leading tours and teaching photography workshops for all abilities, whether you're an absolute beginner, serious amateur photographer, or just want to take beautiful shots on your phone. I carry tripods and filters in the minibus which you are welcome to use with your camera or mobile phone. For those who wish to experiment with a DSLR camera, I have a few models you can try - just request this when booking. You can improve your photography using any camera, device or phone while visiting a variety of stunning and carefully chosen locations, largely away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist routes. Visit parts of Ireland you'd never generally get to see, as we follow the back roads, narrow lanes and trails, discovering landscapes that will both captivate and enchant you. Over 30 years I've explored Ireland with my camera along the Atlantic coastline from Kinsale to Donegal and beyond into County Antrim in Ulster. I can use this intimate knowledge of Ireland to tailor a private day tour to your exact requirements, whether you want to improve your photography, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the amazing scenery, from ancient castles and ecclesiastical sites to stunning beaches and cliffs or mountain passes. If you want to hike along the many marked paths or trails to explore these beautiful locations further, or even walk beside the dramatic Atlantic coastline, I can also plan drop-off and pick-up points into your tour or even put my walking boots on and explore the wonderful scenery with you. - City & Guilds of London Photography - Failte Ireland Wild Atlantic Way Champion During my tours I have no restrictions.

The Beara Peninsula is peaceful due to its narrow roads that leave the main road and weave their way through a magical backdrop of amazing vistas, heritage sites and brightly painted houses in the villages. Passing through endless panoramas, this tour leads you to scenic stone circles, and atmospheric ruins set in the rural scenery. We follow narrow lanes that meander through the remote valleys, discovering wondrous scenery as we journey beside crystal clear lakes and the rugged coastline. Bring your camera, phone or any device that takes photos and capture wonderful images, improving your photography with ongoing tips and advice, or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the tour of all the fabulous locations that we'll visit. This tour is ideal for any level of interest, ability and experience of photography and I'm also more than happy to use my photography skills to capture wonderful memories of you and your group in this amazing landscape.
Arriving on the Beara Peninsula we'll visit the glaciated valley at Inchiquin to visit the Uragh Stone Circle and view the wonderful waterfall at the back of the valley. We then take a scenic pass on the way to the Glanmore Lake area, with an option to visit Derreen Gardens. We can visit the Ardgroom Stone Circle, located on the hillside, a mile away from the village, before we follow the Ring of Beara around the Kilcatherine area and the colourful villages of Eyeries and Allihies. As well as astounding scenic views, the rugged coastline gives us the photogenic Beara Bowl as well as a number of old engine houses from the mining era to capture. Leaving Allihies by another scenic pass we have the options of visiting Garnish Beach, The Cable Car to Dursey Island and the ruins of Dunboy Castle on our way to the fishing town of Castletown-Bearhaven. The amazing scenery continues with a tour over the Healy Pass and panoramic views of the peninsula on our way back to our meeting point.

Toyota 8 seat minibus - I can carry 7 passengers but the 7th seat is a bit of a squeeze though ideal for smaller people :)
