Elva provided my wife and I a tour of Connemara that exceeded our hopes. Within 10 minutes of an on time pickup, and navigating out of Galway with road closures due to an event ongoing, we had connected with Elva. She showed us the wonderful sites of Connemara, stops at interesting locations, information on the various sites and history of the area. We had a perfect full day tour of the Connemara region with Elva. She made us feel comfortable and welcomed right from the start. She is warm, personable and very knowledgeable. Her Irish pride shows in everything she says and does. She not only talked as we toured, but she was also a great listener, getting to know us and responding flexibly to our interests. Yes, private tours are more expensive than group tours, but to us she was the better value, worth every euro. Don't hesitate to book Elva!

Your Galway tour itinerary

☘️ Depart Galway City ☘️ Head out the coast road through the seaside resort of Salthill and Silver Strand on to Barna. We pass through the townland of Furbo which marks the start of The Gaeltacht. On through Spiddal, and Inverin which has a small airport where Aer Arann provides flights to the Aran Islands. I bring you via the fishing village of Rossaveal, on to Costelloe, through Screebe and the four crossroads of Connemara, Maam Cross ☘️We continue to Recess passing through more beautiful and rugged landscapes. Then down through the Inagh Valley with stunning views of Lough Inagh ☘️ Visit Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden ☘️ Off we go to Letterfrack & Tully Cross, and along the Atlantic coastline with stunning views of Inishbofin and the beautiful Glassilaun and Lettergesh Strands as we head towards the village of Leenane and the unique Killary Harbour. From here through The Maam Valley, Oughterard, Moycullen and back to Galway City.
