Welcome to Ireland! I am located in the spectacular West Clare peninsula in Ireland, which is a hidden gem that was awarded European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) in 2010 & voted Irish Times Best Place to Holiday in Ireland. I am positioned in the middle of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, right where the Shannon river meets the Atlantic Ocean, and am close Shannon airport. I come from an Irish rural background, traditional to it's roots, my upbringing was filled with local stories, history and culture. I love to share this part of my history with all my tour groups, and to provide a great understanding of the essence of beautiful Ireland. I provide scenic tours and transportation services along the Wild Atlantic Way and all along the west coast of Ireland. I am excited to take you on a pre-booked scenic day trip and show you this truly magical place. My small and personal tours are ideal for anybody who would like an exceptional day out. I take you to, and collect you from all the local attractions, such as the Loop Head light house, walking tours, dolphin and whale-watching trips, home baking classes, farm tours, golfing activities, campsites and cycling tours or golf tours. Pick ups and drop offs are provided from airports, hotels, restaurants and events. In keeping with the ethos of Loophead Sustainable Tourism, our vehicles are small and have low impact on the environment and I remain mindful at all times to leave no trace. Spend the day visiting the non-touristy parts of Ireland, immerse in local experiences and see incredible hidden-gem rugged coastal scenery. This tour has some great local food experiences, particularly for fresh seafood lovers, but all tastes are catered for. It's a laid back day with lots of stories of history and culture of rural Ireland. Lots of hidden-gems on this day. Ring forts, ancient wells, famine ruins. .
This was a really good idea as I got to see a lot more with a guide than I would have on my own. My guide fell ill but send a replacement and informed me so I was not surprised. The new guide was great and I really enjoyed my 2 days with him. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had an excellent 2 day tour of the cliffs of Moyer, Burren and other areas. I would highly recommend this tour group.
Martina was an excellent host! She toured us around and customized it further once she got to know our interests while chatting! She also rescheduled an appointment we had to maximize our tour time accordingly. Highly recommend her!
Martina was prompt, a conservative driver, very pleasant. Provided the agreed upon itinerary. Helped with dinner recommendation and reservation as well as transportation needs through someone else for the following day.

9. 30 AM Pick up at your Accommodation (your location to be discussed via private message before booking, there are many pick-up accommodation locations available) Drive to the Loop Head Penninsula Spectacular Cliff walk, 30 minutes (moderate) Photo stops, local stories of heritage and culture Stunning Cliff Drive, Tons of Photo Stops Stop at the church of the Little Ark, visit one of the last remaining Arks in Ireland Loop Head Lighthouse experience, climb to the top for amazing views and history of the lighthouse. Drive to Carrigaholt traditional fishing village for a bowl of yummy chowder or delicious crab claws! Photo opportunity in front of Carrigaholt castle. 5. 30 PM, Return to your accommodation.
