I look forward to sharing Guatemala and leading adventures with the goal of providing a genuine immersion to Guatemalan culture. I help you connect with the authentic essense of the Mayan culture and its people, deepening your understanding of the world, its cultures, and yourself. My goal is to inspire and guide those who travel to Guatemala, and will guide you in your quest to connect with the people and experience their culture. I am a life-long adventure traveler, always looking for the path less taken. In 2005, I settled on the shores of Lake Atitlán and fell in love with the lake and its people. I have years of experience as an adventurer; rafting, hiking, biking, rock climbing, camping, and teambuilding.

Overview of your Panajachel tour

Full-day trip begins and ends in Santa Cruz. Includes a guide kayak tour along the rugged north shore, and a hike back thru Tzununa, El Jaibalito and Santa Cruz la Laguna. You will enjoy this experience if you love nature, spending time on the water, and want to learn about the history of the lake and the Mayan people who live here. I have been guiding on Lake Atitlan for over 10 years and love to share with my guests.

Your Panajachel tour itinerary

Meet at our Adventure Center as early as 8:00am. Gear up for kayak and swimming. Paddle for 1 1/2 - 2 hours along the shores of Santa Cruz la Laguna, El Jaibalito, and Tzununa, ending in Tzununa, with an optional break in the middle for a swim and cliff jump (if you dare!!). You paddle along rugged cliff faces filled with exotic plant and bird life. Mid-day your guide will recommend a restaurant appropriate to your tastes, or you can pack a sack lunch for a pic-nic. The second segment is a 2 hour hike along the Mayan foot trails for a true off-the-beaten-path experience. The north shore of Lake Atitlan has no true road access, so you will be hiking along ancient paths that have been used by the Mayan for centuries. End your day at our Adventure Center where you started. Total itinerary is 6 hours minimum.
