Hello, and welcome to Gambia! My name is Joseph. I am an experienced tour guide in Gambia for over 19 years now. My hobbies are bird watching, sightseeing, playing scrabble, chess and adventure. I also represent the Gambia at international chess championships. During my career in this job, I have learnt a lot from my guests too and this has been a great advantage for me. I'm always glad to see people happy and to share my knowledge by speaking and listening to my guests of different works of life and experience, which makes my tour a success and something to remember too. I operate tour within the Gambia and Senegal borders as both countries share culture and traditions alike. The Gambia is one of the most peaceful countries in Africa and west Africa to be specific, with its exotic flora and fauna, while experiencing memorable relations with friendly citizens of this smiling coast, full of sunshine and beautiful open beaches for holiday makers who cherish the warmth and frenzy atmosphere of the Atlantic Ocean. While cruising through one of the most navigable rivers in the whole of Africa, the River Gambia, as it runs from the Futa Njallon highland in Guinea Conakry, emptying into the Atlantic Ocean, you will always have a reason to make a return. I am also very ready to accommodate personalized and Customized tours as unanimously agreed upon, by my guests on a tour for individuals and groups. Welcome to my tours! -Advance Level Tour Guide Certificate -ICM degree in Business Studies I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver

The Gambia and it's plain landscape gives you an unending experiment to its nature and cultures. Acquainting yourself to the locality and village life system of the Gambia experience, you will also enjoy it's sunny beaches and its friendly neighborhood. Sample the Jungle Juice, Africa's beer. See birds found in the woodlands and sea as you pass by farmlands and animals. This trip can also be customized to any potential customer wanting to take a tour with me.
Pick-up from Banjul to the second most populated town of the Gambia, Serekunda, to see the busy daily market scenario, making our way to the outskirts of the town to visit a school and a family home depicting one of the nine tribes in the SeneGambia region. Visiting the Palm wine tapper, we will sample the jungle juice and Gambian made Gin as Tapper demonstrates climbing of the Palm tree. We board vehicle and take a short turn to a cultural museum for a look and possibility to buy souvenirs. We then embark and drive to the shore for a lunch at an Open Atlantic ocean bar and restaurant. Have a rest at beach beds and possible swim stop for 30 minutes, if tide permits. Board the vehicle to the fish landing to see catches and learn about the preservation of fish before modern fridges and freezers from Europe. Embark on the vehicle to end the excursion to a drop off in Banjul.
