Please reach out to me for the best experience in Saint-Malo and the surroundings (note, I don't do tours to Mont Saint Michel) I am a very passionate and enthusiactic tour guide and I am an outgoing person. I love showing my magnificent region to people coming from other countries, because I also love speaking foreign languages like english or german and meeting people from abroad! I am a native from the Saint-Malo region and I love hiking along the Rance estuary which I know like my pocket! I have had a varied career and I spent 12 years in Germany because of my passion for foreign languages and cultures and then I got to be a tourist guide as a freelance in my loved homeland. I'm willing to share my knowledge and passion about the wonderful landscape which surrounds me here and wants to show you the best places to be and to enjoy throughout the year! My Forefathers worked the land and fished in the seas around this beautiful place, so my heart beat for Brittany. I can show you hidden treasures of the Saint-Malo region and the Emerald Coast. If you want to discover our region, culture, history and impressive landscapes, I will accompany you with joy and enthusiasm throughout the best places of my region! Indeed I am also a keen walker and take great pleasure in introducing visitors to our wonderful coastal and upland scenery. I am happy to take you and your group on planned tours or I can arrange tailor-made tours according to your preferences. I welcome inquiries and am able to build you a bespoke tour that includes interests you may have! I have the official license as a guide in French, English and German languages I am also an official translator in these 3 languages I have a Master in "International relationship" and I have also a licence to teach German at the University ("Capes") I don't go to the Mont Saint-Michel

Let's discover the old privateer city of Saint-Malo and the peninsula Cité d'Aleth in Saint-Servan. Saint-Malo is a seaward fortress since the Middle Ages, we will visit the cathedral, walk on the 1. 8 km long wall circling the city. Designed by Vauban, Louis XIV's military engineer, the wall offers a magnificent view of the city and the harbor. I will tell you about the famous privateers and explorers of the city, like Jacques Cartier, who discovered Canada. Destroyed at 80% during the Second World War, Saint-Malo was rebuilt on the same plan. We will also go to the peninsula and historical site "cité d'aleth" to discover the wild landscape right next to old city, there you will see the numerous bunkers of WW2. You will be surprised how diversified is the landscape in this area: the area of la Cité d'Alet dates back to the Roman period! You will also discover the famous and impressive Solidor Tower (listed as a Historic Monument since 1886)
- We will start at the Old city Saint-Malo where we will discover the old cobbled streets, the chateau, the cathedral and the ramparts. - I will tell you about all the well-known personalities and the famous corsairs of the privateer city, show you their prestigious mansions. -Then we will walk to the historic site Cité d'Aleth with its fortifications and bunkers dating from WW2 and the ruins of the Roman Church Aleth. -We will then come back to the terminal or to the old city crossing the pretty area of Saint-Servan. The tour can be customized, I adapt myself to your need! If you would like to have a private vehicle on the tour, please send me a message so I can customize a tour for you. -
