Overview of your Pau tour
Come and visit beautiful Aquitaine, but not only the capital. Pau, its second largest city is a hidden germ, beautifully set between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Ocean. The city is called the Gateway to the Pyrenees, you can have a breathtaking view on this magnificent mountain range from here, strolling along its famous Boulevard des Pyrénées. Some call Pau the royal city, and it's mainly for the Good King Henry, who was born in its magnificent castle in 1553. So let's visit one of the most beautiful French castles, listen to the story of King Henry IV and then we can have his famous broth for lunch in one of the adjacent local restaurants. I can assure you it will be an unforgettable experience.
Your Pau tour itinerary
I will meet you in the center of Pau or pick you up from your hotel. We will start our tour with a walk in the historic heart of the city around the castle - King Henry IV's birthplace, (if you wish we can also go inside). -Afterwards we will stroll along the famous Boulevard des Pyrénées. -Then we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants where you can taste some dishes from southwestern France (especially a famous Henry IV's chicken broth). This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly!
