Let's go on this wonderful trip that will take you to the Ethiopian Rift Valley region. This experience combines beautiful culture and breath-taking nature. I will show you all about Ethiopian Rift Valley system, which is part of the famous East African Rift Valley. This region is endowed with a pleasant climate and comprises numerous beautiful lakes, a great variety of wildlife and hot springs. Did you know that the natural contents of the hot springs are highly valued for their therapeutic effects? Rift Valley lakes are also well-known for the different bird species that can be found. And last, but not least, during this tour you will have the opportunity to visit the two famous Tribes in the area: the Konso and the Dorze.
Your Arba Minch tour itinerary
DAY 1: ARBAMINCH You will be picked up from Arbaminch Airport or your Hotel and then the tour will start. Then, short drive to visit the Dorze Tribe who lives on the Guge Mountain. The Dorze are renowned for their cotton-weaving techniques and beehive shaped houses constructed entirely from organic materials. In the afternoon, boat trip on lake Chamo to see crocodiles and Hippos. DAY 2: ARBAMICH - KONSO - ARBAMINCH Excursion to Konso Karat town to visit the Konso Tribe village. The Konso tribe is famous for their agricultural terracing method and for their wooden totems that honor the dead. The Konso villages are a UNESCO world heritage listed site for its cultural significance. The villages are surrounded by high stone walls and encompass separate compounds. Finally drive back to Arbaminch and transfer to your Accommodation. Tour will end here. * I can offer a more detailed itinerary after the tour is booked.
