Croatia's oldest national park, under the protection of UNESCO World Heritage, consists of sixteen interconnected lakes arranged in cascades and distinctive colors ranging from azure to green, grey, or blue. Winter, spring, summer, autumn - Plitvice lakes will leave you speechless no matter what time of the year it is! If you like spending your leisure time walking in nature, as I do, then this tour is a perfect opportunity to do what you love and learn something about Croatia at the same time :) Let us spend some fun time walking around and talking as I share some interesting stories about my home country.
Your Rijeka tour itinerary
- Pick up (Rijeka Cruise Ship Port, Opatija) - Drive to Plitvice Lakes (2, 5-3h) (stop for the toilet, coffee) - Plitvice lakes are divided into Upper and Lower Lakes, and 4 different walking paths: A - 3500m, 2-3h walk including Lower Lakes and Great Waterfall B - 4000m, 3-4h walk including a walk through the limestone canyon, electric-boat ride, and a train ride C - 8000m, 4-5h walk including the Lower and Upper Lakes area, electric-boat ride, and a train ride E - (unavailable until March, April) 5100m, 2-3h walk - You will choose pathways depending on your return time. The price of this tour will be the same. - Drive to Rijeka or Opatija (2-3h) - Lunch or coffee break is optional IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CRUISE SHIP GUESTS: please keep in mind that only paths A, B, and E are possible choices due to time restrictions The tour will include a great deal of walking, so please have comfortable shoes ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - this tour can be highly customized to match your requirements
