Hello there traveller, my name is Tea, a local guide on Hvar island. I grew up in Hvar town by my parents who are originaly from Bosnia. They met in Hvar town, fell in love and decided to make a life here. Now I am the one who is in love at this beautifull island and I would like to pass that love on to anyone who is visiting. Hvar is beautiful: lovely beaches, beautiful restaurants, sunsets that take your breath away. If that is your thing, you can experience Hvar just by sitting on the shore and you will most surely enjoy yourself. But, I look at experience Hvar differently. I know Hvar at its core, understand its depth but by traveling I got to know the world as well so I try to combine best what I know from Hvar with global trends. I know you want to come home rested, tanned and happy and I know happiness is rooted in experiences and memories you take home with you. I hope Your Hvar memories begin with me. So, you wake up, you breathe in the fresh Hvar air and you decide that in half a day, you would like to become "sommelier" of Hvar? This Half-day wine tour will take you on a journey through centuries of vineyards of Hvar. I will try to bring the wines to life and unravel Hvar wine story. Ok, maybe I cannot promise you that you will become a sommelier but I can promise you that you will have a great wine experience. We will start our journey in Hvar and start with a drive through the island inland. We will pass through old villages and through many Lavender Fields. Stop, breathe, enjoy. Put stress in distress. The best part begins in Jelsa, where a specially chosen winery is waiting for you. I am taking you back to the roots. To pure living tradition - Duboković winery. Awarded red wines, cheese, bread- all that in an intimate candle lit cellar of winemakers family house - pure heaven or to say wine heaven.
Your Hvar tour itinerary
- Pick up in Hvar. - Tour of Hvar town - Drive trough inland of the island, drive is about 1 hour with some short stops. - Pass through old villages and through many lavender fields. - Wine tasting: it will be guided by the staff in the winery. - Return to Stari Grad town, return from winery directly to the town.
