Hello there traveller, my name is Tea, a local guide on Hvar island. I grew up in Hvar town by my parents who are originaly from Bosnia. They met in Hvar town, fell in love and decided to make a life here. Now I am the one who is in love at this beautifull island and I would like to pass that love on to anyone who is visiting. Hvar is beautiful: lovely beaches, beautiful restaurants, sunsets that take your breath away. If that is your thing, you can experience Hvar just by sitting on the shore and you will most surely enjoy yourself. But, I look at experience Hvar differently. I know Hvar at its core, understand its depth but by traveling I got to know the world as well so I try to combine best what I know from Hvar with global trends. I know you want to come home rested, tanned and happy and I know happiness is rooted in experiences and memories you take home with you. I hope Your Hvar memories begin with me. Embark on a delightful olive oil tasting tour where you'll immerse yourself in the rich flavors and history of the island's renowned olive oil production. This tour offers a unique opportunity to discover the secrets behind Hvar's exceptional olive oils. We will start our drive by taking the "old road", how locals call it. We will pass through old villages Brusje and Velo Grablje and through famous lavender fields. Stop, breathe the aromatized air, enjoy the view. Driving further towards Svirče where we are going, visit the best local olive oil producer on the island. You will be able to taste his single and multi-blend olive oils, learn how they make extra virgin olive oil and become an expert on olive oil tasting. Perfect to take a break from the sun. Let your taste buds convince you that it was worth to explore Hvar differently. Leaving Svirče we will drive through UNESCO protected plain, Ager (Hora). This field is the best preserved Greek cadastre in the Mediterranean.
Your Hvar tour itinerary
- Pick up in Hvar. - Drive trough inland of the island, drive is about 1 hour with some short stops. - Pass through old villages and through many lavender fields. - Olive Oil tasting: it will be guided by the on site guides. - Return to Hvar town, direct return to the town of Hvar.
