Join me on this private Hangzhou day tour to discover the delights and hidden gems of Hangzhou, home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A city of timeless lakes, ancient Buddhist stone carvings and world-famous Longjing tea, it has centuries of poetry, legends and stunning natural scenery waiting for you. Born and raised in Hangzhou, I know every hidden corner of this city. Along our tour, you’ll hear engaging tales of West Lake and Hangzhou’s rich history, with insights into Longjing tea culture. It would be my great pleasure to share authentic local warmth with you, as we wander through thousands of years of Chinese history within a single day.
Your Hangzhou tour itinerary
We will meet within Hangzhou as you wish. Our route will be as follows: -West Lake Walk & Hand-rowed Boat Cruise Stroll along West Lake, then board a traditional hand-rowed wooden boat. (If unavailable due to weather, we will switch to a large lake boat.) -Feilai Peak & Lingyin Temple Admire stunning ancient Buddhist stone carvings on the cliffs of Feilai Peak. Then step into peaceful Lingyin Temple, one of China’s most revered ancient Zen monasteries. -Longjing Tea Farm & Tasting Wander through Longjing tea bushes on terraced slopes of tea village. Watch local tea farmers hand-stir-fry the tea the traditional way, then savour a cup of freshly brewed Longjing tea. As with every ToursByLocals tour, this tour is of course customisable.
