Jasper Wild: Behind the Lens is a private 7-hour journey through the untamed heart of Jasper National Park, guided by a wildlife filmmaker who has spent years documenting the Rockies for Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Travel Alberta. Travel through prime wildlife habitat as we explore the spectacular Miette Hot Springs corridor, one of Jasper's best areas for spotting elk, deer, bears, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife. From there, we'll venture through mountain valleys, waterfalls, rivers, and breathtaking viewpoints on our way toward the legendary Columbia Icefields region. Along the way, I'll share stories of the park's wildlife, geology, history, and the filmmaking adventures that have taken me deep into these landscapes. The pace is relaxed and flexible, allowing time for photography, wildlife viewing, and soaking in the scenery. Every tour is customized to conditions and your interests, creating an authentic Rockies experience that goes far beyond the typical sightseeing tour.

This tour remains flexible, allowing us to follow wildlife activity, weather, and your interests throughout the day. Pickup from your hotel, lodge, train station, or other agreed location in Jasper. We begin by exploring the Miette Hot Springs corridor, one of Jasper's premier wildlife areas, searching for elk, deer, bears, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife. Along the way, we'll stop at scenic viewpoints, river valleys, and hidden locations while sharing stories of the park's history, geology, and wildlife. From there, we travel south through spectacular mountain scenery with opportunities to visit Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls, and other scenic stops along the Icefields Parkway. Our journey continues toward the Columbia Icefields region, where towering peaks, glaciers, and breathtaking landscapes create some of the most dramatic scenery in the Canadian Rockies. Throughout the day we'll adapt our route to maximize wildlife sightings, photography opportunities, and unforgettable mountain experiences.
