Kuzuzangpola 🙏 My name is Lobsang, and I am a licensed Senior Tour Guide from the beautiful Kingdom of Bhutan. It is my pleasure to introduce travelers to our country’s rich culture, fascinating history, Buddhist traditions, stunning landscapes, and the warm hospitality of our people. Becoming a tour guide was never just about having a job. It was about sharing the Bhutan that I know and love. I have always enjoyed meeting people from different cultures, listening to their stories, and helping them discover the unique beauty and spirit of my homeland. One of the things I treasure most about being a guide is the opportunity to learn from my travelers. I have not had the chance to travel to many countries myself, so every conversation gives me a glimpse into another part of the world. While my guests discover Bhutan through my eyes, I discover their countries through their stories. That exchange of cultures is one of the reasons I love what I do. Guiding is my passion. Every tour is an opportunity to create meaningful experiences and lasting memories. I especially enjoy sharing Bhutanese traditions, Buddhism, local life, and the values that make Bhutan such a unique destination. I also have a strong interest in hiking, trekking, birdwatching, nature, and photography, and I am always happy to include these experiences for travelers who share the same interests. I believe every traveler is different, so I never treat two tours the same. Before and during our journey together, I take the time to understand your interests, travel style, and expectations. Whether you would like to spend more time at a monastery, enjoy a scenic hike, photograph wildlife, experience local village life, or explore hidden gems, I will gladly tailor the tour whenever possible to create an experience that is truly your own. My goal is for you to feel as though you are exploring Bhutan with a knowledgeable local friend rather than simply following a fixed itinerary. I am flexible throughout the day and always do my best to ensure you have enough time to enjoy each destination at a comfortable pace, making your visit relaxed, enjoyable, and memorable. I look forward to welcoming you to Bhutan and sharing the beauty, culture, and genuine spirit of my country with you.

If you’re visiting Bhutan, one place you simply can’t miss is Tiger’s Nest Monastery, locally known as Taktsang. But this tour is about much more than reaching the monastery. I’m Lobsang, a licensed Senior Tour Guide born and raised in Bhutan. I love sharing my country’s culture, history, Buddhism, and everyday life with visitors. We won’t rush the hike nstead, we’ll walk at a comfortable pace, giving you time to ask questions, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery as some one said "It is not about the destination but about the journey". Along the trail, I’ll share the legends of Guru Rinpoche, explain Bhutanese traditions, and point out local plants and wildlife. After the hike, we’ll enjoy lunch, relax in a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, and finish the day by tasting Ara, Bhutan’s famous homemade spirit. My goal is for you to leave not only with wonderful memories and photos, but feeling you’ve explored Bhutan with a local friend.
5:00–6:00 AM: Hotel pick-up from Paro or Thimphu and scenic drive to the Tiger’s Nest trailhead. 6:30–7:00 AM: Begin our guided hike through beautiful pine forests. We hike at a comfortable pace with plenty of stops for photographs, rest, and stories about Bhutanese culture, Buddhism, and the legendary Guru Rinpoche, who meditated at Tiger’s Nest in the 8th century. Enjoy a break at the Taktsang Cafeteria with spectacular views before visiting the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. If you’re still feeling energetic, we can continue beyond the monastery to explore hidden meditation caves and lesser-known hermitages rarely visited by most travellers. After the hike, enjoy lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria or one of my favourite restaurants in Paro. Relax with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, then sample Ara, Bhutan’s famous local spirit, before I drive you comfortably back to your hotel.
