All four adults in our party absolutely loved our tour with Lemec. He is very knowledgeable, understandable and has a wonderful personality. We developed our itinerary with Lemec as we travelled. First he pointed out all the sights downtown. Then we went to a crafts market for some shopping. While there Lemec got tickets to visit Fort Caroline. We have seen many 17th century Caribbean forts, but this was among the best. Wouldn't want to miss it. He took us to the top of the historical 65-stepped Queen's Staircase. The two women drove with Lemec to the bottom and the two men walked down the staircase. It was quite easy with a waterfall halfway down and lush vegetation. We enjoyed the stop at the Rum Cake Factory with delicious samples. At our request Lemec brought us to the magnificent Atlantis Resort. We walked inside and out in the areas open to tourist, including the Casino where we could have gambled if we wished.. The inside and grounds were beautiful. Everyone loved our guide and the ability to customize our tour with as much time as we desired at each site. Our wonderful guide and the flexibility to select what sites we saw and how long we stayed at each place were real treats. This Tours by locals was our best tour on the cruise. Would gladly recommend a tour with Lemec and Tours by Locals to our friends.
We had a wonderful time on our tour! Our guide, Lemec, was very informative and allowed us to make adjustments in our schedule to accommodate our group of 6 allowing us a customized experience. He gave us so much history of the area, and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. We would highly recommend this tour!
